Welcoming Michigan works to support Michigan’s “receiving community” members—U.S.-born Americans who live in communities where immigrants settle — in creating welcoming communities where immigrants can fully integrate into their adopted hometowns. This is why we care...

Why It Works

Immigrants account for large and growing shares of the economy and the electorate in Michigan. Immigrants make up 6.0% of the state’s population. Being a welcoming state is in the best interest of all Michiganders.
